Nice and Happy

All I ask of you

No more talk
of darkness,
Forget these
wide-eyed fears.
I'm here,
nothing can harm you -
my words will
warm and calm you.

Let me be
your freedom,
let daylight
dry -your tears.
I'm here,
with you, beside you,
to guard you
and to guide you . . .

Say you love me
every
waking moment,
turn my head
with talk of summertime . . .

Say you need me
with you,
now and always . . .
promise me that all
you say is true -
that's all I ask
of you . . .

Let me be
your shelter,
let me
be your light.
You're safe:
No-one will find you
your fears are
far behind you . . .

All I want
is freedom,
a world with
no more night . . .
and you
always beside me
to hold me
and to hide me . . .

Then say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
Iet me lead you
from your solitude . . .

Say you need me
with you
here, beside you . . .
anywhere you go,
let me go too -
Christine,
that's all I ask
of you . . .

Say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
say the word
and I will follow you . . .

Share each day with
me, each
night, each morning . . .

Say you love me . . .

You know I do . . .

Love me -
that's all I ask
of you . . .

Anywhere you go
let me go too . . .
Love me -
that's all I ask
of you . .

Oho.

I saw this while reading Neil Gaiman's blog:

http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j279/bacchus007/NeilBlunt.jpg

(Just copy and paste it on the address bar.) Very amusing. Lol. You can take a look and see what he said about it in his journal. I think I have a link somewhere on my blog...

The class party was great, though there were less of us, compared to last year. We started off by watching SAW II. We watched SAW I last year. (Really, Anj has a fascination for those gore movies. She wants to watch Quentin Tarantino's recent movie... Forgot what it's called...)
Don't ask me how it was. I was covering my eyes about seventy-five percent of the time. Though, if I do have to describe it in a word, it would be: BLOODY. Bloody brilliant! *feigns enthusiasm* It's a sick psycho-suspense thriller screamer movie full of fear. And pain. And blood. And fear. Have I mentioned fear? Well, FEAR. But interesting twist at the end. Let's hope they won't be making SAW III (though by the looks of the ending, I have a feeling they're gonna do just that), or else we'd end up watching THAT too. But it was fun screaming with friends.

We ate after. Hmm, anyone hungry? Everyone looked a bit sick. Just a bit, haha. Ja couldn't get over the SYRINGES. I don't think I watched that part so I'm not really bothered.
---

Pen got a haircut. Other than that, nothing was really new. Jenina wasn't there; she already went to the States (lucky her). Tapos si Shei... well asa pa kaming pupunta yun. Haha.

Yung mga iba nag-karaoke pagkatapos kumain, or nag-cards, or naki-drums. Stuff. Zarah, Ja and I sat on Anj's uber fluffy bouncy couch with fluffy bouncy pillows to match. Napag-usapan namin yung SAW II. Tapos napunta sa Constantine. Tapos napunta kay Tilda Swinton (Ja: ang hot niya sa Constantine! Me: Onga! *both squeal*). Tapos napunta kay Skandar.

Caris left early, I think, which was too bad.

Grabe, parang two weeks pa lang, parang antagal nang hindi nagkita yung class.
---

I still haven't commenced Teh Burning! (Which is burning all my school stuff that left me depressed and low, meaning the Investigatory Paper and my Class Lists.) Too bad it's raining. And I still have to practice my piano stuff. Sigh.

Let's go fry some chicken!

If you're happy and you know it...

Spent the whole day watching movies.

First was The Phantom of the Opera. It was good, but rather heavy. And SAD. And creepy at times. You kinda feel sorry for the Phantom, but then you never really know whether he's the protagonist OR the antagonist. You just feel relieved he's gone at the end. PURGED. Which is why I came to the conclusion "Hey. This must be an Aristotelian mode of tragedy." and left it at that. And oh yeah, excellent soundtrack.

The next was Sky High. I dunno why I even bothered to rent it. It was alright during some parts, but everything about it screamed "DISNEY", which screamed "KIDDIE" even louder. It reminded me of Spy Kids-- and I hate Spy Kids. (Nawalan ng dignidad si Antonio Banderas dun.) Anyway, the "evil" plot of the antagonist was REALLY... BAD. Bad in the sense that it was the worst plot I've ever heard of a supervillain come up with. And it was so BAD that, no, it wasn't good, it was still BAD, all throughout. Seriously, the supervillain girl had to seduce this kid, separate him from his friends, win his trust and yada yada yada to get her Pacifier (which is a WEAPON, okay?) back from his uber-superhero parents (because they were the first ones to sack her) without them noticing so she could use it to zap all adult superheroes back into babies to raise them into supervillains in her supervillain academy. Well. That's smart. It's definitely not the most attractive idea to get revenge. I mean, that plan takes GROWING-- and--and BABY PARENTING(!). And the superheroes-turned-babies were as many as the stones in a zen garden. But I guess they wanted to minimize the violence of revenge. But it's still honest-to-goodness stupid.
The script wasn't all that hot either. Ordinary stuff. Really people, WHERE is the brilliance of wordplay? I'd forgive them if this was Star Wars but it's not (although it's also about forces and dark sides).

Also watched Bewitched the night before. Wasn't all impressed by it. All commercial crap, these rom-coms without substance. BUT Nicole Kidman was cute. Will Ferrel was not. But I'd give him a perfect 10 in the lovestruck-acting-violently-inspired-by-Tom-Cruise category. Well at least that had some semblance of reality-- even if it portrayed Tom Cruise doing passionately undignified declarations of LUVVV.

Bianca's graduation tomorrow. Class party too. Yay.

Where have I been?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VIDA!!! And to Jenina: HAVE A SAFE TRIP HUN! I nearly forgot that you were going to the States; it was floating somewhere at the back of my mind. The greeting is actually late, since she left TWO days ago *hits self*. But enjoy anyway.
---

The Age of Mythology campaigns are occupying my time, which I'm continuing partly for the storyline's sake. In the name of all that is good and holy, why can't they just beat each other up and be done with it?! They have to drag me along with their squabbles, out of Atlantis, to Troy, to somewhere and then to Egypt, where I'm grumpily doing the 18th episode. The 17th took me about three days-- setting the defenses, harvesting resources, deflecting attacks, building up the army, covering enemy territory bit by gritty bit-- only to find out that I just had to get my hero in the middle of enemy camp, near the Osiris Piece. It didn't say I had to fight. Noooo, I just had to get Amanra (the hero) there and POOF! Viktor-eeeee!

Whoever did this game should be sacked.

Now I have to get Osiris' head from the Tamarisk Tree. (I'd really love to explain the story, but it would take up my rant space, and we don't want that, do we now?) Argh. It's so-- DIFFICULT. I'm constantly being bombarded by attacks. Between trying to survive and attempting to carry out my strategies, it seems that I end up going nowhere. (I know I can set the difficulty level to Easy-- but I don't want to be a sissy for once!) And I wish it isn't in the Egyptian setting. The sandy color isn't easy on the eyes. (Oh what I'd give to roll over thick sproingy grass of Europe! Or any grass anywhere that's green and bouncy.) The Mummies are another thing too. I don't know why, but I have a thing with the Undead, any kind. They ssscares usss preciousss. Even my own myth unit Mummies creep me out. And their Minions. *shudder*

So now you know. If I'm not online (which is supposed to be strange, considering that it's already summer), you know what I'm doing.

Health report:

Tuesday: got sick
Wednesday: got better; then got worse at night
Thursday: fever; subsided
Friday: still uncertain (I obviously feel well, don't you think? At least well enough to do my daily duties on the computer.)

I caught some antigen. Dunno what it is. But it's upsetting my stomach, though not necessarily making me go crawling to the bathroom. But it hurts. I wonder if the immune response did its thing already (w00t! Bio application). The pain sometimes feels like there's a hole in my stomach-- or somewhere in the lower gastrointestinal tract.

This has been the longest time I've been sick in my teen years. Four days and health still not 100% okay. Sigh.

Nauseous

We were supposed to go to the dermatologist's yesterday, but we were misinformed of the clinic days, so we had to reschedule.

The clinic was in Eastwood. I wore maong pants, a white shirt and flipflops ("Maganda naman flipflops ko a"). It was only going there that it hit me: pupunta pala kami sa EASTWOOD, ang tambayan ng mahilig pumorma para sa walang matinong dahilan.

Damn. Sana hindi na lang ako nag-flipflops. Sana nag-rubber shoes man lang ako. But then again, I thought "And when did I ever start caring about fashion more than comfort?" So I left it at that.

It was too bad I didn't bring the camera. The elevator area was the best place to do mirror pictures. I've been dying to try doing those, though I have absolutely no talent for angles and stuff.

That's Bianca. And the mirror. And the plant. Cool no? Haha.

Well anyway, back to the story. Sa sobrang inis ni ma, napapunta tuloy kami sa Robinsons para bumili ng halo-halo sa Chow King. Tapos napa-shopping na rin kami. Well, medyo lang. Marami kaming tiningnan pero wala naman kaming binili. Haha, oh well.

Pop Inc featured Jason Mraz yesterday. Then they featured Rivermaya today. Ansaya, haha! Ginaganahan tuloy ako bumili ulit ng mga cd.

Other pictures. Ngayon ko lang na-upload, kasi matino ung internet connection ngayon.

Hay. Wala kasing scanner. Ginawa kong negative para mas makira ung linya, di kasi makita dahil may flash. Pag walang flash, ang dilim naman, so no choice talaga. I do like the fire ball thing though.

Dust mote. Parang gusto ko mag-iba ng insignia. (Nanaman?!) Two years ago, it was this star thing. Now the sheep. Now the dust mote. *huggles dust mote* I like it a lot.

I looked up some Age of Mythology cheats and found something for a flying purple hippo.

I tried it and-- OOOOH. It's so gay! And DANDY!

It has this little top hat on its head, leaves a rainbow trail when it flies and blows out heart showers on enemies. Heart Attack-- literally.

I looked at its description. It seems like some drunk typed it in, in big capital letters, wrong spelling and stuff.

But then again, it just might be the hippo talking. Afterall, it looks pretty crazy. But it's a handy thing anyway. At least.

Finally

I haven't been here for, like what, three weeks? I had a tough time of it last week. Urgh, don't remind me of the horrors. And this one went beyond the usual. Don't ask. But one thing's for sure: at the end of it all, I realized I love my class-- more than ever. When you encounter something as shocking as that, leaving you with no tomorrow, you realize that there's no one else to turn to and you become simply thankful that some people really care.

Thanks guys. I love you a lot. And I'll make it up to you, I promise.
---

So at last, no more obligations. YESSS!!! Except for my clearance. Gack, ayoko na bumalik sa AA para ayusin yun. Ayoko na rin makita ung pagmumukha ni Ms. Bio, not really for personal reasons-- nadedepress lang ako tuwing naaalala ko ung nangyari.

We went to Don Henrico's last Friday to celebrate the last day of classes. Mmm... buffalo wings... I still can't get over the size of those things. But I love the Ranch dressing. Woo.
---

I finished watching La Visa Loca yesterday. One word: EXCELLENT! It was so candidly Filipino. Great acting by Robin Padilla, Johnny Delgado and all the others. It isn't like those formulated box-office movies that's all bubblegum and sugar (the ones that give you an acidic stomach after consumption). Yung tipong kiligin ka lang, solb ka na! (Ang babaw. Pero mas masaya kaya yung mga taong mababaw ang kaligayahan?) Anyway, it really made me think of our present state: everybody leaving, American imperialism, prejudice... Hindi ko alam, pero parang may sumasaksak sa dibdib ko tuwing may nagsasabing "You Filipinos are so stupid!" sa movie.

Haaay.

"If you suffer your people to be ill-educated, and their manners corrupted from infancy, and punish them for the acts(?) from which their first education disposed of them, then what is to be concluded, sire, that you first make thieves and then punish them?" (-Drew Barrymore, Ever After)

---
We watched Lovestruck before that. Geez, the illogical-ness of it all (if there's such a word)! Really now, who acts like that in real life? It's... mortifying.

---

Mali yung First Reading sa Mass ngayon. It was supposed to be about the Ten Commandments. Nabasa yung tungkol kay Moses at ung Burning Bush.

Naalala ko lang. May scientific explanation din daw yung Burning Bush:

Nagma-marijuana raw si Moses.

---

Um, sabi yan ni Zarah. Lord, siya nagsabi sakin nyan, di yan nanggaling sakin. (Nyaha.)

Excited na ulit akong maramdaman yung pakiramdam na wala kang kelangan gawin!!!
