Christmas party

Ang hirap mag-isip ng post title. Damn, this one's title is so... MUNDANE. Maybe I should do a format for my titles, or just put in random words I can think of. Like schmooby, sheep, snarky, wrick, lotus-shaped eyes, canticorum, jubilo, regi, magno, psalite...

So anyway, that's beside the whole point of this post. According to the title, it's about the Christmas party today, so that means it's about the club Christmas party. (Oooh, am I redundant or what?) So. Right. On with this thing.

The party was themed bohemian/gypsy (didn't get to dress up though). We had it in Cafe Bonne Sante, na nasa Eco Park lang. To sum it all up, I think it was pretty pleasant, with no forced games or presentations. The plan was to chat, and then eat, and eat, and eat, and ea-- no, give the presents, which I think worked pretty well. Simple yet brilliant.

Patmig sat with Carissa, Rica and I (the only 2nd yrs in the club), and began to generously dish out advice on BOYOLOGY. (riiiiiight...) I didn't listen much, mostly because I just didn't want to. Boyology my ass. Go ply your trade with another boyologist...

The food was simple: baked mac, brownies and iced tea. Ayun. Masaya na kami dun.

For the Kris Kringle, each one had to describe her "baby" (I have no idea why we use these terms) before giving the gift, and then it's that person's turn to give her gift and so on. Camille Ruivivar was my "mom", so to speak. I had that gut feeling it would be her (again, I was right on that one). She told me she'd give me my gift on Monday, as I hadn't made a wishlist since I didn't attend two consecutive club meetings. I really like Ate Cams. If given the chance, I bet we'd really get along well.

Carissa was supposed to receive something from me since I got her name. The fabric paint was still drying on the shirt I bought, so I'll be giving it to her on Monday.

Speaking of Monday, we rehearsed some vigil chants and songs in the morning for the Monday vigil. Hooray. *waves small broken flag unenthusiastically* I mean, it's okay, I suppose, as long as there won't be any nun droning in front.

I fell asleep during the "film showing" on Taize (Tay-zeh). Oooh, sounds exotic, I know. It turns out it's just about the Taize brotherhood, or something... I can't really explain what it is, since I dozed off in the middle of it. But it's not an anti-Christ thing. The only thing I'm sure of about it is that they unite people in vigils and stuff, regardless of race, color, religion, status, etc.

I must've been too exposed to boring activities today; I slept without guilt of impropriety. I woke up abruptly exactly when the film ended. And then Ms. Clarete said something about people who "really made it their purpose to sleep..." etc, etc. Well I'm SORRY. It's just that the film had "DREAMS WOULD BE BETTER THAN THIS!" screaming all over it. It was just when I got out of the theatre that my classmate commented "Tina! Your row was so cute! All of you were sleeping!"

Oops.

So... medyo lang halatang-halata kami.

I've seen whole rows of students sleeping before. They look like dominos. And it's VERY OBVIOUS.

Lagot GMRC ko dito. Haaay...
