Another slow day

Nothing much happened today, except for the fact that I watched half the entire series of KareKano again. Oooh, nostalgia. It's still as crazy as ever, haha.

I went and watched the IISDC yesterday. I thought we were supposed to go to our Lola's place. I don't know what happened to that but it was scrapped, leaving my "schedule" free. Unexpected opportunity! I got to watch the second round: THBT (This house believes that) the government should accord copyright laws to indigenous people's art. Not exactly in that wording, but close enough. I went with Ate Charm and Patmig so I had to watch their round. Haha, parang pilit. Sa totoo lang, oo. They are NOT the kind of people I'd want to be with (I DON'T LIKE THEM!!!). I wanted to go watch Drea and Carol's match. So anyway, not much I could do about that, since Ate Mars commanded it. I didn't talk to them as we walked to the designated room. I can keep my silence for an unhumanly amount of time possible, under UNpleasant circumstances. This was one of them.

So I watched them prepare their arguments. It feels stupid being in the room, doing nothing. I wish I had brought a pen or what not. So after what seemed like an unbearably long time, it finally started. We were the opening government. Shitty opening government, if I may say so. And I'm being mild. Let me say this: I DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH MY SCHOOL'S HONOR! Asan na si Ate Camille R.?! RAWR!

The whole debate was all over the place. I watched through my fingers. I couldn't bear to look. Hats off to the Closing Government and Closing Opp. I attribute the BETTER half of the debate to them.

So, to sum their performance in one word: ANEMIC.

I'll leave that one to your imagination.

I also saw Quico there. A bit of confusion ensued as to what our relation exactly is. Quico had said the night before that we were related, in a way. That's true, except Ate Mars ASSUMED that we were cousins. Let me clear that. COUSINS BY AFFINITY. Not blood relations. On the FEW occasions that I do mention a debater cousin, I am referring to the OTHER, BLOOD-RELATED cousin. Yes, that's you Kuya.
It was just pretty weird. Carol was like, "Uy, pinsan mo o." I felt like screaming out of exasperation.

I suppose that's okay, though. Gwapo naman si Quico e. Mwahahahahaha!

Maita and I got to talk for a while. It's good to see her again. She was asking help for a script she needed to pass, which was set in China and involved a love triangle with the girl, the guy, and the guy's brother (which was to be the girl's husband). Okaaay. ETO NA NGA BA ANG EPEKTO NG TELENOBELA?! *is horrified* Maita looked apologetic. It wasn't written by her. Her groupmates did it, I think, then it fell on her to continue the story when it was becoming hopelessly cheesy. So now she wants Mei Li (the girl) and Yao (the guy-- what's with the names???) to have a one-night stand before Mei Li gets married to Fa (Yao's brother). And then she gets pregnant. But Fa is impotent. So...

Hm... Realistically speaking, that kind of behavior will not be tolerated by Mei Li's father and father-in-law. So most likely they're going to kill her or do something horrible as punishment. It's too depressing to kill the girl before the story develops any better. Haaay... They chose the wrong culture to manipulate, to begin with. More power to her if she can pull this one off gracefully.

I have to go "finish" some school matters. I'll hopefully be posting my Divisoria "adventure" soon, if I can get our pc to cooperate.

Happy Birthday to Ben!
