Back to blogging days
So here I am again. I haven’t been blogging properly; my last post was about a week ago. Still, I don’t feel like writing here everything that happened, even the important ones. Well to start last Saturday, we went to the La Salle Variety show thing. I would have enjoyed it better if I had friends along. I mean, I had no intention of going in the first place.
Here’s one thing I noticed about Filipinos and concerts: if it’s a not-so-known band, they absolutely DON’T move, even if they’re really good. Weird. Does that mean respect, disinterest, indifference or nothing at all? Hmmm…
That makes the Sigma concert (Rivermaya) the coolest and the most fun I’ve ever been to, cause all the people there were jumping like mad and screaming. But not in a dyolohgs way.
We got to meet Join the Club, and then spend thirty minutes with them and stuff because Ate Justine is a friend of theirs and blah blah blah… They were like “Sumali na ba kayo sa Yahoo groups namin? Join na kayo!” To which we nodded meekly. I don’t care much for their music—wait, that was harsh. To rephrase: I “joined the club”, not because of their music, but because they were really fun people to be with. I joined the group for THEM, gets?
I got my Orange and Lemons cd signed, except for the drummer. It was kinda hard telling them apart from all the people fawning over them, plus the staff and security hanging around. Good thing they were wearing their bubuyog shades.
Sunday: we went to our grandparents’ place for Lolo’s birthday, then to a Christmas party. My favorite protist was there, haha. The phylum of the unicellular plant-like protist that causes Red Tide: dinoflaggellates.
Monday-today: We’re all preparing for the Alay Kapwa for tomorrow. Saw protist online on Monday, got to talk to him yesterday. *grin* Heehee.
Be-cruel-to-frogs-in-the-name-of-Science day was postponed to next year—meaning that dissection will continue when we get back from the break. Damn, those toads are really… ugleh.
Favorite words from Sir Mark: “Okay, so when you pick up the toad, use your gloves. It has been SAID, not proven, that toads cause warts… but then again, we don’t want to prove that, do we?”
I checked out the ticket prices for the Dec. 16 Maksim concert yesterday. I saw Maksim’s picture. Omaigas. Damn… hotness. Yeah, I’ve seen him before, but all I remember is the rocker outfit, and then I see Rob Thomas in my mind’s eye for some odd reason (though that was before he went semikal). Ack! Maksim… someone buy me a cd of his. Okay, so I’m adding this to my wishlist:
-a cd of Maksim, Franz Ferdinand (they kinda grow on ya), The Click Five (gusto ko lang), Jason Mraz or Jack Johnson
-DVD/VCD ng Ever After (I’m a sucker for Cinderella), Peter Pan (movie)
****Para sa mga cd… ORIG dapat. Kung hinde, wag na. Ok lang.
-a cool shirt
And the very best gift you can give me:
-HUGS from the people I love
No specifications for the hug, as long as I can hug you as long as I want to. I’m running low on emotional stamina; it was sapped out during the past three/four weeks.
Funniest line I’ve heard this week: “Girls, kung may talent kayo, gamitin niyo! Kundi babawiin yan ni Lord!” – Ms. Molave.
Like, what are we?! Babies?!?
Hahahaha…
