Pagpupuyat
I won't say much about the vigil, except that it makes me feel a lot brighter about Christmas.
Grabe, sa sobrang ganda ng ambience ng multi, gusto mo na lang talaga magpaka-banal. Seryoso. The only downside to it was Sister Bernadette's voice. Gusto ko makatulog pag siya nagsasalita. I swear, it's the breathiest voice I've ever heard; she manages to insert an H in every single word. She speaks good English, it's just... AIRY. Soft and airy, like tendrils of smoke that make you cry, in this case, out of sleepiness.
The vigil was tolerable (nice, even); her voice was not.
I got presents too. I haven't opened anything yet, except for the book in the Powerbooks paper bag. Well, duh, obvious na so might as well. It was Coraline, by Neil Gaiman (it was on my wishlist). Yes!!! It may be a children's book, but the illustration still gives me the creeps. It's been two years since I've first read that. I can devour it as easily as I did that lunch hour I first came across it. Happy, happy, happy...
Aside from that, I do know that I got a stressball from Zarah. She told me. And the shape was pretty obvious, though from the way it was wrapped, I imagined it more as a decapitated doll's head.
I still haven't decided what to give to each of my friends. Haha, hug na lang para madali.
I didn't bring a mug, so I had to endure watching people happily drink their hot cup of Milo. The canteen was selling cups... AT p3 EACH! Outrageous overpricing little-- argh! And those weren't even styrofoam cups. Just PAPER. Why is it that they always take advantage of teenager irresponsibility by selling the needed stuff at atrociously high prices?! It made me mad enough to curb my appetite altogether.
I made myself a TALL glass of cold Milo when I got home. That was, of course, after I woke up (I only got to sleep for about 2 hours last night). I slept at 6:45 am upon getting home. I woke up at 3 pm.
And then I watched Windstruck with my siblings. You kinda get what boyfriend the girl was alluding to in My Sassy Girl, though the connection (if you really insist that it's a prequel) is a little bit off. Windstruck's ending wasn't exactly My Sassy Girl's opening, plus the girl's overall character traits aren't that consistent if you put the two movies together. Characters may be the same, but I do think that's as far as the link goes. So in the end, you have to conclude that Windstruck isn't really a prequel but a separate story altogether. And although it does shed light to the girl's background in Sassy Girl, the timeline can't be logically explained... Er, so get it?
I suppose I don't have to elaborate, since I've already concluded that they're separate stories.
Ok, I'll leave it at that.
