Piyesta sa eskwela

Well, so it's Assumption Day today, which explains the Food Sale and the Mass and the Presentation. The day was alright, though I'm really tired right now. Feeling ko walang pasok bukas. Argh, ba't Friday pa?! Magagamit namin sana ung club meeting. Oh well. The day's events are chronicled below.

The morning was... bah. First of all, I lacked sleep. And then the white uniform takes a lot longer to put on than I expected. Took me a million years before I finally put the stockings on. By that time, my siblings were already downstairs eating and mom was bellowing my name for me to come down. "Why are you still up there?!"

Cause I'm just half-dressed, that's why. You'd send me back up anyway. I was scrambling madly for my things: red uniform, socks (important!), bag, donated-to-be notebook, etc etc. The untidiness of it all made my head ache, so yeah, I promised myself that I'll fix it later. So far... don't think I've done it yet. Nope, not yet indeed. Anyway, I managed to finish by the time my sisters were through with everything. I had to sacrifice breakfast, not that it bothered me, though. Mom made me bring along a sandwich as breakfast, but I forgot to eat it on the way. I just stored it in my lunch bag instead.

Mass was a little bit late, since the priest wasn't on time. We had some PNP as guests, for the Mass as well as for the presentation. I have no idea why PNP of all people, but they were behaved and I was fine with that, haha. [Ja and I were wondering about it. Ba't di sila matataba? Ba't wala silang donut? O coffee? Ede fake sila? O baka may terrorista sa AA? Hmmm... *cracks up*]

We started the Mass at around 8 or something and then ended at 9:40. They gave out the Excellent Educator awards right after. Congratulations to Ms Jenni (who was also Vida's past teacher) and Sir Beni, the first in our Hall of Fame! Didn't know we had one. Right after all the clapping and stuff, they made us sit down again for an "important" announcement. Sister Ana walks up the stage and goes "Alright, since it's Assumption Day today, every one of you will get..." (What? A lollipop?) "A piece of Assumption Tart each!"

Oh. I'd prefer the candy. And then she proceeded to tell us the History of the Assumption Tart. *Gasps* Oh wow! I never knew a tart could hold so much tradition and history. (I'm being sarcastic, if that's not obvious. )

I went with Zarah, Shei-shei and Rosalyn to the Food Sale. The free time, abundant food and spare money only leads to one thing: Pigging out. Which was exactly what the three of them wanted to do. Hahaha. So far, we were too picky to buy anything. Za and I bought a Tropicana Twister while we browsed around. All in all, I spent only P30. Nawala na ung purpose ng Food Sale, kasi may baon din ako. Mwahahaha!

The discussion of Second Quarter's seat plan took up all the time and before I knew it, we had to line up for the PPO concert.

And I tell you, it was excellent! Superbly and finely excellent! I liked the Maestro. He was so interactive with the audience, lol. Besides the orchestra, a tenor and a soprano also performed. Interesting to see how they sing opera. I just couldn't understand, but it was interesting all the same. Muriel and this 3rd grade girl (Alexa, I think, whose grandmother was also playing in the PPO) also did a number together, with the string section accompanying them. Muriel! Idol!!! I listened to the both of them practicing in the Music Room and... it was so heavenly. Nakakainggit tuloy ung mga marunong. Haaay, I was sad to see the show end. I dunno. I always get sad when it's the end of any show, even if it's bad. Good-byes are sad things.

I spent the time teasing Richel while waiting for the car. Hahahaha, she was finishing her English project for The Ramayana. I took a look. The art was alright (it was done by her partner), but it definitely lacked the "Indian Authenticity" factor. I took the first page and showed it to Ate.

"What country do you think this is?"

She takes a look and says, "Africa." HAHAHAHAHA!!! I whipped the third page out and asked, "Do you think this is a Bible story?" She nods. Ahahahaha!!! Ate knew it was The Ramayana, but it still looked like it came from another country.

Grabe, nakakatawa talaga asarin si Richel. Anyway, I have to go call Kyla for the Filipino presentation tomorrow. Eagh.
