Today's mood
Second day of the crimson wave and I'm biting everyone's head off with icy remarks of "Go away."
Most likely they're thinking "Oho, well aren't we snarky today..."

A new season of America's Next Top Model will be showing sometime soon, which will be fun. I've missed Tyra Banks. The Australian version of the same competition (yes, there is one) isn't as fun as the original, mostly because I can't understand half of the things they're saying due to their accents. Imagine turkeys gobbling. Got that? And then put an Australian accent ON the turkey gobble. (It now sounds like GOUH-bul, GOUH-bul, GOUH-bul...) So now it's less intelligible, all the more so when they get really excited and start talking all at the same time. The artistic factor of the show, which is, in my personal opinion the modelling, the make-up and the photography, is still as good. So in the end, I can turn the sound off and still want to watch it.

I've taken out The Artist's Handbook in an effort to educate myself on the use of chalk pastels, to no avail. It seems that making art is more than colors and stuff; you have to consider a lot of things, like the toxicity of your colors, de-acidifying the canvass, lessening the stress on the canvas and etc, etc. Gyah, I seem more ignorant than I did when I first tried reading the book.
As of today, I've got dirty, chalk-laden fingers, wasted paper (I think I need the right kind), and a panic moment when I noticed that I couldn't find the words non-toxic anywhere on the box (checked it online; it's safe). And I still don't know how to use Black, Sanguine and White for that "effect of immediacy and intimacy."
Messy business, this is. I've got chalk dust blown all over.
